Heegaard Floer theory was introduced in the early 2000s and has become a powerful tool to study knot theory. This talk will start from an expository introduction to Heegaard Floer homology. Then we will survey some of its remarkable applications to knot theory. Finally, we will focus on a few recent results on knot concordance derived from Heegaard Floer theory.

数学系博士后。汪世达博士的主要研究方向为低维拓扑。他的研究工作发表在Algebraic and Geometric Topology、Bulletin of the London Mathematical Society、Pacific Journal of Mathematics等国际著名期刊上。
