报告题目：A recent progress on the numerical analysis of variable-step (generalized) BDF2 schemes

摘要：

While the variable time-steps two-step backward differentiation formula (BDF2) is valuable and widely used to capture the multi-scale dynamics of model solutions, the stability and convergence of BDF2 with variable time steps still remain incomplete. In this talk, we will revisit BDF2 scheme for a class of linear and nonlinear problems and present that BDF2 scheme is unconditionally stable under a mild adjacent time-step ratio condition, and achieve the second-order temporal convergence in L2- and H1-norms. Our analysis shows that the second-order convergence is sharp and robust.

报告人简介：

张继伟，武汉制服做爱 制服做爱 教授，博士生导师。2003和2006年在郑州制服做爱 获得学士和硕士学位，2009年在香港浸会制服做爱 获得博士学位，随后在南洋理工制服做爱 和纽约制服做爱 克朗所从事博士后研究，2014年5月在北京计算科学研究中心工作，2018年11月到武汉制服做爱 工作。主要研究领域包括偏微分方程和非局部模型的数值解法，以及神经科学的建模与计算，得到了国家自然科学基金重点、面上等项目的支持。在包括SINUM，SISC，MCOM，JCNS等国际知名期刊上发表学术论文90余篇。
